Our email privacy policy is there to protect your privacy. This policy defines the details of how your user information is permitted to be used, and how it is protected from being abused.

Why you received this email
You received this mail because you are subscribed to a newsletter / mailing list to which you opted in. If this is not the case then please unsubscribe from the list (using the link in the footer of the received email)

Email newsletters:

We will send you an E-Letter newsletter to the address you gave us in your original communication; electronic, in-person signup, or as part of another WRCJ/DPTV communication allowing us to communicate with you once a week. 

Strict anti-spam
Sending of unsolicited commercial email (spam) is not permitted over our networks. Please report instances of abuse to us.

What about links to other sites and ads?
Emails you receive from us may contain advertisements and links to other web sites ("Third Party Materials"). We are not responsible for the privacy policies or content of these Third Party Materials. This Privacy Policy only addresses the use and disclosure of information we collect from you in connection with www.loyal-email.com. The privacy policy posted on our other web sites differs from this Privacy Policy. Merchants who sponsor an email list we support may maintain their own web site and publish their own privacy policy.

How to stop receiving further email
Just click on the Unsubscribe link in the footer of the received email to be permanently removed from all future mailings.

Security of your data
Our datacenter has rigorous controls to backup data and prevent unauthorized access.

Detroit Public Television/WRCJ does not sell or rent its list of contributors to any organization. However, Detroit Public Television does engage in list rentals from certain permissible organizations and in exchanges with certain permissible organizations in accordance with standard industry practices and policies stated below.

Our primary responsibility in conducting this business is respect for the privacy and wishes of our donors. This respect means that the information we will provide to a potential user consists primarily of information already in the public domain, i.e. title, name and address. We do not provide donation levels or attach dollar levels to our rental/exchange lists. Also, our rental/exchange lists suppress any "Do not exchange" records (characteristically we offer such a check off once a year). As a corollary to this, while not required we do ask anyone using our lists to run their output through the DMA Preference Service, which further protects members from unwanted mail.

Detroit Public TV reserves the right to review all packages and drop dates. This is a right which we do insist upon since even the most reputable of mailers have specific packages which could be considered offensive by a portion of our Membership file. (Offensiveness is also defined as a direct personal reference to a personality or political figure.)

Specific mailers whom Detroit Public TV denies access to our lists include the following:

    * Religious Groups
    * Political parties
    * Candidates for public office
    * Committees or organizations supporting or raising funds for a candidate
    * Pornographers
    * Credit Card Mailers

Beyond this our policy conforms to the recognized standards of our industry, i.e. the mailing will be blind (no allusion to DPTV), seed names will not be scrutinized, samples will be provided upon request, drop dates respected and one time usage.

This policy was last amended on September 10 2008.

On-Line List Policy

Your email address will help us communicate with you more efficiently regarding member benefits and upcoming programs. DPTV-WRCJ will not rent, exchange, or in any way provide your email address to third parties.
