The Morning Show

Hosted by Chris Felcyn. Featuring the extremely popular "Midday Entree", Chris' show takes an expanded look at classical music, often featuring complete concertos, symphonies and other works during the day.

DSO and MOT Unmasked

Hosted by Jimmy Rhoades. DSO and MOT Unmasked looks inside the music and musicians of Detroit Symphony Orchestra and Michigan Opera Theatre.  We begin with a nuts and bolts peek at an upcoming piece of music in Behind the Score. We follow that with MyTunes, as some of the best musicians in the business share their favorite CDs.

Film Classics

Hosted by Jack Goggin. Film Classics is a look at the music that shapes the film-going experience. A fascinating look at the composers, musicians and the films. Jack often creates "themes" around his programs, such as “A Day Late and a Peso Short” for Cinco De Mayo, or "Indy Times Four" a look at all the Indiana Jones films.

The Listening Room

"The goal is to provide a comfortable radio complement to what is, for most listeners, a very pleasant time of the week," says host Chris Felcyn. "And we do that with a careful but varied selection of very listenable music, drawn from classical, jazz, world music, and other genres."

Wherever possible, Chris showcases performances by the many excellent classical and jazz artists working throughout the Detroit area and has made The Listening Room not only a place to hear these fine artists, but a source for where to go to see Detroit's best perform live.

PipeDreams

For 90 minutes each week, the eloquent and good-humored Michael Barone spotlights extraordinary instruments and performers playing awe-inspiring music as a part of Pipedreams. When the organ music ends, Barone continues with 30 additional minutes of related classical music, creating a two-hour block of exquisite programming

Exploring Music with Bill McGlaughlin

is an exciting daily radio program that delves into a wide assortment of topics in classical music. Each five-program series builds off a single theme ranging from composer biographies to explorations of various cultures, musical styles, and time periods.

Throughout this journey, Bill McGlaughlin guides the listener deep into the music with care and enthusiasm by giving historical context, illustrations at the piano and providing a special insight that only a top-notch musician, conductor, broadcaster, and composer could. Whether 90 or 9, professional musician or simply a music lover, Bill McGlaughlin truly makes exploring music fun.
