The Rackham Symphony Choir

The Rackham Symphony Choir, with Dave Wagner. Rackham Symphony Choir is committed to the highest standards of musical excellence. Suzanne Mallare Acton, RSC Artistic and Music Director, Chorus Master for the Michigan Opera Theatre and renowned conductor, sets the tone. Her inspired vision brings together unique blends of composers, instrumentalists, soloists and choristers from local, national and international circles, creating unforgettable concerts.

Composers such as Thomas Beveridge, Gian Carlo Menotti and Richard Einhorn have joined with the Choir in special presentations to discuss their works with the audience. Internationally acclaimed vocalists such as Roderick Dixon, Alfreda Burke and Vivian Cherry with jazz all-stars Marion Hayden, Alvin Waddles and Marcus Belgrave have created unforgettable concerts. The Southern Great Lakes Symphony

The Southern Great Lakes Symphony (SGLS) completed its 50th season in May 2005, a remarkable achievement for an orchestra with humble beginnings.
Since its earliest moments as a volunteer group of musicians from Allen Park, Michigan, who wished to play together and perform on occasion, the orchestra has grown into a professional regional orchestra of high quality which presents music for the entire Downriver area to enjoy. The Langsford Men's Chorus

The Langsford Men's Chorus, with Dave Wagner.
Founded in 1999 by six men, the Langsford Men's Chorus (LMC) has expanded eight-fold, to a regular performace membership of forty-eight. Director Steven SeGraves has been the Conductor of the group since its founding.

The LMC has presented a vast and varied repertoire at numerous venues in Greater Detroit and the Midwest, at a consistently high performance level, attracting an ever-expanding audience and a devoted following. Visit their website here.

 

Birmingham-Bloomfield Arts Center

The Bloomfield-Birmingham Arts Center, with Diane Taylor and Chris Felcyn.
The mission of the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center, a non-profit regional art center, is to enhance the quality of life in our region by promoting the appreciation, understanding and practice of the arts.
