THE MIDDAY ENTREE IS ON HIATUS DURING THE SUMMER - PLEASE ENJOY THE ARCHIVED RECIPES BELOW.
The Midday Entrée
can be heard during the lunch hour of Chris Felcyn's Show which
broadcasts weekdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
A key feature of Chris' show is the "Midday Entrée," a major piece of music served up at the lunch hour each day, followed by a complementary recipe, usually keyed to the origins of the composer and/or performers.
For example, to accompany Antonin Dvorak's Piano Concerto the offering was Czech Nut Rolls. For Jean Sibelius' Second Symphony, it was a Finnish Cranberry Whip. And what better accompaniment to Beethoven's 7th than German Pork Loin in Beer?
It's all packaged with Chris' easygoing, unpretentious style that has attracted a crowd of loyal listeners.

Your Comments about the Midday Entrée

"That beer marinated pork loin was terrific, and my wife practically went ga-ga over the gravy. I heard her talking to her mother on the phone about it and I quote, '...it rivaled anything that Dad cooks...' Mind you, her father owned his own buffet style restaurant for years, and he is a GREAT cook. We should both be honored to be mentioned in the same breath like that." -- David W.
"The dichotomy of Chopin and Dill pickle soup cracks me up." - Linda T.
"Just wanted to let you know that you're doing everything for my musical entertainment and education, and absolutely nothing for my waistline! Keep up the good work! Please send me the Chocolate Mousse Imperiale recipe. I promise not to eat it all in one sitting! " - Al W.
"I made the Death by Chocolate dessert for my work associates, and there were so many 'awesome', 'wow', and 'fantastic' thank you(s), that I wanted you to know how much appreciated your daily recipe offerings are to your listening audience. The hot German Potato Salad elicited another grouping of 'delicious' and 'may I please have this recipe' retorts." - Sharon J.
