Ann Arbor Concert Band presents Celebration!

Our 45th anniversary season concludes as Artistic Director and Conductor David Leach, presents “Celebration!” showcasing musical favorites. Selections include Percy Grainger’s “Handel in the Strand”, “Rocky Point Holiday” by Ron Nelson, and “La Fiesta Mexicana” by H. Owen Reed. We present our 2024 Andrew J. Lum & David R. Juillet Young Artist Scholarship Competition Winner, flutist Ian Chung from Ann Arbor Pioneer High School, performing Carl Reinecke’s “Concerto for Flute in D major, Opus 238”, East Middle School Band Director Matt Kazmierski performs “Concertino for Marimba and Winds” by Alfred Reed and we are honored to welcome Dr. Naki Sung Kripfgans as guest organist for “Variations on a Theme of Beethoven” for Band and Organ, arranged by Diane Bish / transcribed by K. Megan USCG and performed with permission of Diane Bish.
