“Bon Appetit” Operetta Based on Life Of Julia Child at Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church

“Bon Appetit” is an operetta based on the life of chef Julia Child.

American composer Lee Holby composed this comic culinary extravaganza that taps the wit and antics of one of America’s most beloved television personalities and mother of all foodies. Soprano Giles Simmer vibrantly brings Julia Child to life in this 30-minute one-woman operetta, complete with all kinds of kitchen props and loads of chocolate, accompanied by pianist Steven McGee.

This event is a fundraiser for the continued restoration of the Austin Pipe Organ. Free will donations to the organ fund will be accepted at the doors. A Julia Child-themed reception will follow the performance.
