For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide / When the Rainbow Is Enuf” is a choreopoem written by Ntozake Shange and directed by CJ Williams. This play is the second play written by a black woman to go to Broadway. It explores the lives and struggles of seven unnamed women of color. Each woman shares her experiences with themes of racism, sexism, oppression, and the search for identity and self-love. The work combines poetry, dance, and music to tell stories of resilience and the power of sisterhood.
