Summer Pops Concert by Ferndale Community Concert Band

Join the Ferndale Community Concert Band, under the direction of Artistic Director and Conductor Ed Quick, for our “Summer Pops” concert. This concert features selections from Broadway and movie theater favorites from “The Sound of Music” by Richard Rodgers, “The Wizard of Oz” by Harold Arlen, and “A Disney Spectacular” including music from Walt Disney’s “Aladdin”, “Beauty and the Beast”, and “The Little Mermaid”. To get you up and dancing we will perform “Pop & Rock Legends: Stevie Wonder” including Stevie Wonder’s hits “Sir Duke”, “I Wish”, “Isn’t She Lovely”, “Don’t You Worry ‘bout a Thing”, and “Superstition”. “American Flourish” by Robert W. Smith is a summertime concert favorite. And we round out the program with “Slavonic Dances No. 8” by Antonin Dvorak and “Caribana Afterparty” by Omar Thomas.

The M-1 Jazz Collective will start the concert at 3:00 PM. We hope you will join us for summertime pops.
