Theater Organ Workshop with Dennis Scott at the Senate Theater

Learn about theater organ and silent film accompaniment from a master of the craft, Dennis Scott. This intimate workshop will be adaptable for those familiar with church organs as well as those who just know piano.

It will include a basic explanation and demonstration of the function of the Senate’s unique Mighty Wurlitzer 4/34 theater pipe organ, as well as the opportunity to sit down and play under Dennis’ supervision

This event is free. However, if you would like to make a donation, we thank you for your support! The Senate Theater is owned and operated by the Detroit Theater Organ Society, an all-volunteer non-profit organization. All donations from this event will go towards maintaining and preserving the Senate and its Mighty Wurlitzer theater organ.
