Friday, March 6 at 10:40 a.m., tune to 90.9 WRCJ for our live broadcast of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra’s annual Classical Roots concert.  Hear works such as “Fanfare for Universal Hope” by James Lee III, “Troubled Water for Trombone and Orchestra” by Carlos Simon, Symphony No. 4 “Autochthonous” by William Grant Still and more. We’ll also broadcast live a special DSO broadcast on Tuesday, March 10 of “Imagine US: Interlochen Center for the Arts Celebrates America at 250”. Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra Music Director Designate Cristian Mӑcelaru conducts and cellist Tommy Mesa will be featured. 90.9 WRCJ is coproducing and cohosting this Orchestra Hall broadcast which celebrates the US 250th, Interlochen’s 100th and musicians of the World Symphony Youth Orchestra alongside DSO players. 90.9 WRCJ’s Dave Wagner and Interlochen Classical’s Amanda Sewell host from Midtown, Detroit.
