WRCJ-FM Detroit

WRCJ 90.9 FM Classical Days Jazzy Nights - Best of Hour Detroit 2015

New Jazz Hosts
Please welcome Lee Thomas and Greg Bridges as new hosts for WRCJ’s Jazz Overnight from 11p to 5a.  Both are jazz experts and musicians (trumpet and drums, respectively) and, for now, will share time with archive recordings from Bob Parlocha, who passed away suddenly in March.

Best of Hour Detroit Again
Congratulations to Program Director Dave Wagner and Music Director Jim Dantzer.  The 2015 “Best of Hour Detroit” Awards named Dave “Best Radio Voice” and Jim’s music selections rated “Best Playlist” for the second year in a row.  Thanks for your votes!

Raise The Titanic
John Barry, that is.  Excerpts from two little-known scores for films that, well…flopped.  “Raise the Titanic” from 1980—and “Swept from the Sea” from 1997.  If you didn’t see the movies (and seriously, who did?) you probably don’t know the music.  Here’s your chance.
