Loving the show! Could you do a comparison of a birkenstock, brown rice version (maybe by Apollo’s Fire — baroque instrument, baroque focus ensemble, or the like) of Vivaldi … or maybe any piece you two think offers a good contrast with a high quality “white bread” (per Dr Dave recounting Sir Neville Mariner’s thoughts on period-instrument ensembles) ensemble version of the same piece? Thank you for considering, Dr Dave and Mr. Whorf.

Hey! I just missed the number to call for listener requests! I even called the donations line to look for help. Anyway- one of my favorite classical compositions is this 2CD incidental music for ‘Elgar – the starlight express’ and ‘Delius – Hassan’ on EMI. It’s something that helped me discover this Genre of music. Thanks for all you do!

Good morning gentlemen I really enjoy the opening Soundtrack of The Well – Tempered Weekend especially the twinkling sounds โœจ๏ธ I enjoy the fact that you are both there in the studio taking your time out to do what you both enjoy doing ๐Ÿ˜€ thanks. I have to many classical favorites from to many composers & compositions as well if you would both be so kind as to dig deep within the voluminous confines of the WRCJ 90.9 classical archives for a disc or a vintage vinyl 33 1/3 LP. and surprise me and your listeners with an exceptional obscure experience of your own making!

Good afternoon gentlemen variety is the spice of life. It seems that I am hearing compositions & various works aired numerously over & over again on multiple shows. I understand everyone has their favorites though but how about some renditions not so frequently aired. In the vast musical archives of WRCJ I would think there is something available to delve into and explore in 14 hours of airtime more frequently. Thank you for the music & sharing your knowledge from all the hosts. The Jazz time hours could also bring an additional boost with not so much of the same either.

Dr Dave, I’d really like to request, ‘Court of the Crimson King’ by King Crimson, if ever there was a classic that needs playing it’s this one. I’d also like to hear ‘10360 Overture’ by the Electric Light Orchestra. Last but not least ‘Tubular Bells’ by Mike Oldfield.
Live long and prosper.
