The Soundtrack with Haley Taylor

Program Announcements

This week on The Soundtrack, host Haley Taylor celebrates Thanksgiving with a twist—by chasing the sound of the holiday. Not turkey, not family dramas, but that nostalgic, funky, slightly off-beat sound tucked into 1970s TV specials, warm flutes, Fender Rhodes keyboards, and Guaraldi-style grooves. From A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving to deep cuts by Blossom Dearie, Bob James, Donald Byrd, Carole King, and Herbie Mann, this isn’t your average holiday playlist. It’s a cozy, curious journey into the music that feels like fall—full of memory, warmth, and a little weirdness. No jingle bells, no Monster Mash. Just pure Thanksgiving vibes.  Sunday at 6pm.

Haley Taylor hosts “The Soundtrack,” every Saturday and Sunday at 6 p.m. where she explores the scores of the silver screen. Tune in for an hour of unforgettable film music with a look at the composers and the stories that made these melodies sing. Stay connected by following #TheSoundtrack on Instagram.
