On April 3rd around 9-9:30am there was a song called Renewal or Solar (I think the song is Solar and the suite is called Renewal, maybe) that I believe was being done by MSU in the recording. Can you tell me the original composer? Such a different sound for classical!

Hi, there was a song today in the afternoon and I think it was called “Sonata” and I can’t remember who it was by. It was after 12pm, but before 3pm. It was really beautiful and there was a violin with piano accompaniment. Do you know what the song is and who it’s by? Thanks!

Doesn’t sound like it 🙁 the song you played later “It Happens Everyday” by The Crusaders sort of reminded me of the Michael O’Neill song that played a couple tracks before it. Too bad there isn’t an exact playlist of the songs you play during this time, when I click on the jazz playlists after midnight it takes me to WFMT’s playlist which is completely different

Think we found it: “Summertime” by the Michael O’Neill Quintet with Tony Lindsay from “Pacific Standard Time”. The WFMT times don’t match because we air their shows in a different order but if you choose the day you want you can see all the songs Dee Alexander, John Hill, etc. played during their shift.
