Hello! May I please have the actual name of the Sibelius piece for Flute and Chorus that was played today? Under the Winter Sky? Snow? I was driving and distracted and missed the whole title. I think it was between 10:30 and 11:15 a.m. this morning. I believe Ms. Taylor said that, “if you were from Finland, you knew the tune…”, or something like that? Thanks. Gorgeous stuff!

Love this quartet! In middle school we won the string quartet competition with this piece because we really used our dynamics! 😂. Our quartet stayed together past high school graduation.

That Dennis Brain Mozart Horn concerto with the Philharmonia and Von Karajan eh? I barely know the difference between a concerto and a sonata. But I think anyone can listen to that after hearing ten other performances of the piece and know Dennis Brain was utterly the best of the best. I was out of the room and came back two minutes in and knew immediately who the soloist was.

I have an LP recording which includes reminiscences of some people who worked with him who more than a decade after he died in a car accident. They spoke emotionally, reverently about his artistry.

Uplifting story… I was sitting at a metro Detroit intersection with my car windows down this week listening to Bach’s Lunch. Next thing I know, the person in the next car over was calling over to me. They wanted to know what station I was listening to and that they liked classical music. I told them 90.9 FM and Bach’s Lunch and they switched their station and thanked me. Hopefully, we have a new long term listener!

Your new website looks great. However, for the past few days the display has shown “Arrival of the Queen of Sheba” by Handel as being played, continuously. This is also shown when we view what’s playing on our car’s radio. The actual music played, and announcers, all sound AOK.

You played something I think on that day that was supposed to be a modern piece using instruments from brandenberg concerto it was from around 1911. I thought it was sibelius but I can’t find it, any clue?

I have spent too much time looking for I thing on your playlist and I cannot find it. I think it was July 18 (could have been the 17th or 19th) around 2pm, a piece by Franz Schubert. He is my love and I really want to know what was played. Thanks! Gayle

March 14th at 11:30 ish, what was playing before Harp Concerto Op4 #6 in B flat (Handel)? Or was that the same music that was playing at 11:37?

I LOVE Mozart Symphony #40! My daughter played this with Detroit Metropolitan Youth Symphony some years ago and it is still a favorite memory. It was amazing to hear young musicians play this so well! Thanks for playing it. It made my day!
