Melissa Dundis,
Your music selection this morning is wonderful (Saturday Jan. 9th).
Melissa thanks you Michael!
Carl,
I recall you mentioned last week that you have never watched the movie “It’s a Wonderful Life”(?) — I encourage you to watch it as soon as possible, and not to wait until it’s rebroadcast on TV. It’s available at YouTube, for example.
It is one of the best movies ever made, with a very powerful message.
Happy New Year,
Phil
Carl hasn’t seen that? For shame!
Thank you for the week-long celebration of Beethoven’s Birthday. Totally enjoyed this and hope you do this every year.
Larry Campbell
Thanks Larry! Perhaps we will…
What was that last beautiful piece on Wind and Rhythm that David Lawrence ended his program with, just before 6:00 pm today, August 16, ’20? I would love to know. Thank you , Luba
Hi Luba, the last piece was “Early Light” by Carolyn Bremer featuring the University of North Texas Wind Symphony and conducted by Eugene Migliaro Corporon. Here is the whole playlist if you need it: http://www.windandrhythm.com/episodes
Just discovered Linda Yohn’s Sunday Swing tonight while flipping stations in the car. Brilliant! Love the music, the information, and the announcing style. Totally my groove. This is the music I grew up on and it is especially comforting to hear it on the air in these troubled times. Thanks for all you do! I will be a regular listener from now on.
That’s great Bob, welcome to the Swing Set Family!
Please relay to Cecelia my thanks for playing my Bloch Violin Concerto recording today. Caught me by surprise!
Ok John, we will, thank you for performing it! It was for Bloch’s birthday.
